Permacultural Inspiration
Permaculture applied to Organic Agro-Gardening
Talking about permaculture with our clients can be a challenge. It is a term that can encompass many things and is not always entirely clear. You can find out what permaculture is by clicking here. Our mission is to apply the principles and ethics of permaculture to organic gardening, adapting to the needs and visions of our clients. That is why we talk about permacultural inspiration applied to agro-gardening.
Who is looking for us?
Generally, clients who contact us can be classified into two types: those looking for specific services and those looking for help to develop their agro-gardening project.
Those looking for specific services like lawn mowing, hedge trimming, clearing, etc., generally call us because they can no longer do it themselves, due to their work situation or simply because they are getting older. In these cases, we provide the service they need and adapt to their preferred method. Our predecessors in caring for nature have great knowledge, and we owe them great respect. However, we will always avoid the use of synthetic chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, or if necessary, we will replace them with ecological products.
Those looking for help to understand how to approach their agro-gardening project. In these cases, the work process is usually as follows:
- First visit. We will visit your property and have a pleasant chat to understand your needs, observe your land and know your economic situation to adapt our proposals accordingly.
- Preliminary Study. We will prepare a document called Preliminary Study, which summarizes the analysis of the property and the project to be developed. This study includes cadastral data of the property, orthophotos, current and historical climatic data, and a series of permacultural inspiration proposals resulting from our talks. At this stage, we take into account the ethics of permaculture: earth care, people care and fair share of resources.
- Decisions and Budget. Once our clients choose us, we review the Preliminary Study together and clarify any doubts they may have. Then, we work with them to select every detail of the materials needed to find or buy for the project, making sure they fit their budget and that every element we integrate into their agro-garden is properly justified. At this point, we usually establish a phased action plan, based on their priorities, taking into account the best time to start each phase.
- Let's get to work. Once we have all the necessary materials and the work plan is ready, we get to work, with our clients joining us if they wish. It's about sharing knowledge, skills and also bibliographies, etc., so that our clients can learn to manage their own permacultural inspiration agro-gardening project as soon as possible, with our personalized advice.
Below, we share some of our stories from our experiences with our clients.
Family Garden
Once, a couple from Catalonia contacted us in the middle of winter. They had bought a house with a plot in Asturias and wanted to move there in spring, with the garden already prepared for planting.
Eager to help, we visited their land, which was completely frozen, except for a small area where, curiously, there was no ice. Why would that be?
We observed the characteristics and potential of the land, developed proposals and prepared a Preliminary Study along with an approximate budget.
In old orthophotos, we discovered that in the 60s there had been a vegetable garden right in the area that was not frozen, which confirmed the ideal location for the new garden.
For several days, we worked on their property, along with a relative of theirs. We started by solarizing the ground with a tarp, building raised beds with chestnut logs, and also planting several fruit trees on the property.
A neighbor, seeing us work, gave us a trailer of rabbit manure mixed with straw, which we used as mulch on a cardboard base before planting the garden.

Finally, spring arrived and with it our clients full of enthusiasm for their new life.
We organized a planting day with their children, finishing together the preparation of the access paths to the garden.
It was a very satisfying experience for everyone.
From City to Countryside
In recent years, we have helped several clients move from the hustle and bustle of the city to a quiet corner of the countryside, seeking to fulfill their dream of reconnecting with nature. When starting their landscaping projects, we face a challenge that is becoming quite common: the work done on their plots had left the soil for their future gardens with a layer of clay and buried rubble instead of the original fertile soil.
These challenges allow us to demonstrate that we can transform and regenerate the soil simply by sowing the right grass seeds along with dwarf white clover and mulching every time we mow or clear the land.
Fertilizing with products rich in microbiology facilitates the rooting and growth of grasses while regenerating the soil, making it fertile, and with mulching we increase the organic matter, which in turn retains soil moisture.
In less than a year, the land showed remarkable improvement without the need for major expenses or complex maintenance.

Our approach is based on working in harmony with nature, observing and supporting it. We care for natural succession whenever possible.
We are proud to help our clients make their dreams come true.
Brambles and Chestnut Trees
One of our most touching projects led us to work in an old chestnut forest. A chestnut grove inherited by a client who yearned to walk through it again, just as she used to do with her grandfather.
The plot had been invaded by brambles and other colonizing plants during years of neglect.
Every maintenance visit is an opportunity to observe how, little by little, the older trees give way to the younger ones that begin to emerge and claim their place. By keeping the brambles at bay, we are simply accelerating a natural succession in a respectful way.
Seeing this process of natural regeneration is fascinating to us; it reminds us of the profound wisdom of nature and how much we have yet to relearn from it.

Accompanying our clients in their reconnection with nature is a very rewarding experience.
We feel fortunate to be able to work in what we love, transforming spaces and lives.
Co-creating Mutual Trust in Our Projects
From a distance, it is possible to perfectly discuss and visualize the client's needs, as long as the listening and dialogue on both sides is done with the necessary trust.
Co-creating mutual trust is how we build solid relationships with our clients. Not only do we listen to their needs and offer appropriate solutions, but we are also completely transparent in how we manage their money. We want them to trust us again when they need something in the future. This is the 'trust' we value and do not want to lose.
When we guide a client through the design process, we strive to put ourselves in their shoes. We ask them to carefully observe their property for a while and decide where they would place comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy the work they have done in their new vegetable or flower garden with their partner and children.
The future edible garden will be something they will quickly incorporate into their lives as they watch the lettuces grow from the kitchen window. If the garden is far from their house, the snails will probably be the ones who enjoy those lettuces the most.
Our agro-garden designs are created for you to enjoy without complications or major expenses. Unlike conventional landscaping, our projects focus on creating spaces that are easy to maintain and do not require continuous investment in specialized care.
