Rates and Methodology
We work from an organic agro-gardening perspective inspired by permaculture: we observe first, intervene later, and ensure that every decision makes sense for the place, the people who inhabit it, and the real maintenance that space can sustain.
We work using RAÍCES, our own methodology inspired by permaculture, agroecology, and site observation: Re-connect, Learn, Imagine, Create, Stabilize, and Sustain. It helps us accompany every garden, orchard, or farm with a practical, organic, and sustainable approach, without separating maintenance from the overall sense of the space.

The rates shown below are indicative and include 21% VAT.
We work by the hour for on-site jobs. We don't give blind quotes: we prefer to observe, measure, prioritize, and adjust the work to the reality of the place.
We mainly work in the central area of Asturias. For other areas, it is advisable to consult us beforehand to assess travel, times, and feasibility.
We are two freelance professionals collaborating under the same project. When we work together, each person invoices their corresponding part.
The maintenance we offer is part of an accompaniment process: we care for spaces we know, are designing, organizing, or helping to evolve. We do not see gardening as an isolated task of cutting, cleaning, and leaving without understanding the place.

Preliminary Study / RAÍCES Accompaniment (Online and/or On-site)
An external look to observe, organize, and make decisions about your garden, orchard, or farm from an organic and permaculture-inspired perspective.
RAÍCES on-site training for groups and institutions
Theoretical-practical sessions for groups, collectives, centers, associations, or institutions. Applied training in real contexts to learn by observing and doing: living soil, organic gardening, biodiversity, reading the place, and a first approach to permaculture as a design perspective.
Maintenance of accompanied gardens
Clearing, simple pruning, soil preparation, support tasks, and regular maintenance only in gardens, orchards, or farms that we are accompanying, designing, or helping to organize.
Design, implementation, and on-site accompaniment
On-site work for applied design, implementation, planting, task organization, and technical accompaniment on the ground.
High hedges or complex access work
Pruning hedges over 1.80 m that involve working with ladders/scaffolding or situations where access compromises safety.
Collection of organic waste and transport
Removal of plant/organic remains generated during the work and transport to a clean point or authorized place.
Minimum working hours and approach
- On-site work: minimum of 3 hours per person per day.
- Working time is counted from arrival at the farm until the completion of the agreed task.
- Before intervening, we try to order priorities: what is urgent, what can wait, and what needs a bit more observation.
Materials, purchases, and transport
Necessary materials—trees, plants, seeds, fertilizers, substrates, stakes, or other elements—are always at the client's expense, with our prior advice when necessary.
When we take charge of finding, advancing the purchase, and transporting materials, an 8% increase will be applied to the RRP of the product, in addition to the time spent and corresponding travel, when applicable.
Management of plant remains and organic waste
When the work generates plant remains or other organic waste, we can take care of its collection and transfer to a clean point or authorized place. This management is billed as a separate service: 38 € VAT included per trailer trip of up to 2.5 m³, plus one hour of service from the person performing the task (33 €/h/person).
The minimum would be 71 € VAT included, plus travel costs.
Travel
Travel is calculated at 0.38 €/km, VAT included, from our respective work bases in Oviedo and Gijón. Whenever possible, we organize travel jointly to reduce costs and environmental impact.
Every farm, garden, or orchard has its own rhythm. Sometimes a few hours of clear and focused work are enough; other times it's better to stop, observe, and design more calmly.
For us, a garden is a living process: it is born from looking closely at the place, understanding how it works, and working with nature, not against it. That's why we seek to help you make better decisions, avoid unnecessary expenses, and create spaces that are more useful, alive, and sustainable over time.
If you have an idea, a farm that hasn't been cared for in a while, an orchard you want to organize, or a garden that needs another approach, we can listen to you and assess together where to start. If you are only looking for a quick, one-off intervention disconnected from the place, we might not be the right fit. We prefer to accompany spaces that want to evolve meaningfully, without forcing processes or trying to control what needs to be observed, understood, and cared for.
